sheer-cover-studio-makeup-review-contest

I have been really fortunate to receive recently and review Sheer Cover Studio Makeup. I have several issues with the skin on my face from redness, under eye circles and dry patches. I have experienced feelings of unease and anxiety about my face since I was a teenager. Unsuccessfully I attempted to cover the dark circles and redness with a multitude of products for years. From heavy concealers to waterproof makeup, nothing worked all day to cover my imperfections.

Since Sheer Cover Studio was originally formulated to help patients conceal skin problems with their skin from such as age spots, spider veins, melasma, acne, rosacea and birthmarks, I was so very thrilled to be given the opportunity to try and review this product line. I was curious if it could cover my imperfections without looking and feeling heavy. I had read about Sheer Cover, and its claim to have a unique Shade Mineral Foundation that is designed to create the perfect color match for each skin tone

When my sample arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see that I was given full-size product samples to review. I even received brushes to use with the makeup.

The review kit I consisted of:

  • Base Perfector Primer (2 fl. oz)
  • Conceal & Brighten Trio (2g)
  • Perfect Shade® Mineral Foundation (1.5g)
  • Sun-kissed Bronzing Minerals (2.5g)
  • Lengthening Mascara (6ml)
  • Lash Extending Fibers (0.3g)

Base Perfector Primer

This light-diffusing primer helped to prepare my skin for a perfect application of concealer, brightener and foundation. It is very sheer by helps to create a smooth base that decrease wrinkles and imperfections achieve a shine-free finish.

Conceal & Brighten Trio

This trio really helped to hide my under eye circles, redness on my cheeks, and even a few sun spots I didn’t even know I had. What I really liked about it is that it was lightweight, so I was able to come back and add more if I needed more coverage in a certain area without it flaking or caking. I was also able to use a combination of the darker and lighter shades to contour areas of my face, like the cheekbones. I used a little brightener under my brow bones and the inner and outer corners of my eyes to make my eyes pop.

Perfect Shade® Mineral Foundation

I chose my foundation in tan and let me tell you, I am glad I did. This was the perfect color for my skin type. I am always a little cautious with foundation as I have used some that were very heavy on my skin. But this foundation surpassed my expectations. It was very light and left my skin looking and feeling very smooth. It even hid some of my wrinkles around my eyes.

Sun-kissed Bronzing Minerals

This was my favorite part of the kit. This multi-hued bronzer gave me that healthy, summer glow that also helped to give dimension to my face by highlighting and contouring. Like the concealer, it is buildable, so it does not feel heavy or look caked on.

Lengthening Mascara and Lash Extending Fibers

As I have gotten older my eyelashes don’t seem quite as long as they use to be. I am a contact lenses wearer, and I was a little concerned that I might have a problem with this product since I have had problems with other lengthening mascaras in the past. The lengthening mascara and lash extending fibers did not bother my eyes at all. In fact, the combination of lash fibers and mascara increased the length and volume of my lashes so much that everyone was asking me if I had lash extension on.
