I have never been big into cooking—until recently. I have noticed, as I am sure you have as well, that a lot of my posts center around food and/cooking. Being a stay-at-home mom during the week allows me the time to experiment with as many new recipes as I can create in a week. I do have my old standbys that I make often— chili, pork chops, chicken – but often times my family requires a nice change for their taste buds.
This recipe was one of those nice changes. I had the idea to use the raw honey and mustard together after seeing a recipe that incorporated the two as a marinade. So I whipped a few of the ingredients and what came out was a sweet and spicy main dish that had my family begging for more.
Ingredients
2 lbs Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
1/3 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tbsp Red Hot Pepper Sauce
2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
3 tbsp All Natural Spicy Brown Mustard
3 tbsp Dijon Mustard
1 cup Homemade Chicken Stock
1 tbsp Organic Raw Honey
Directions
1. Place chicken breasts at the bottom of the crockpot.
2. In a medium-sized bowl, mix all remaining ingredients together until thoroughly blended.
3. Pour over chicken.
4. Cook High for 4 hours or Low for 8 hours.
5. Serve immediately.
