My toddler absolutely loves bath time. When he is cranky, I will put him in a warm bath with his bath toys and he instantly is calm. There have been times, however, when his bath toys just will not suffice.
I recently started noticing that his “artistic” side was starting to shine outside of the bathtub. I decided to let him be artistic in the bathtub as well with this simple DIY bathtub paint set. The recipe is so simple and only requires the items-food coloring, shaving cream, and something to store them in.
Items
- Shaving Cream ($1.00 at the Dollar Tree)
- Food Coloring ($1.00 at the Dollar Tree)
- Containers to store paints in. I used old plastic baby food containers.
Directions
- Mix food coloring and shaving cream together in a small bowl of shaving cream.
- Transfer mixture to container.
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 with other colors until you have 2 or 3 colors.
- Fill up bathtub, give to child, and watch the fun and creativity happen.
