My little girl is trying to cut her first two teeth. Some babies, like my oldest child, did great with teething, but my middle guy and baby girl, not so much.
Baby girl is constantly chewing on her hands, or anything she could get a hold of. She is persistently irritable, refuses to sleep, gets ill, and just plain stopped being her happy, sweet, funny self. I know once the teeth pop through she will start feeling better. Until then, we are in for some long days (and nights).
In the past I had purchased teething biscuits but was surprised by some of the ingredients listed—sugar, corn, multiple sources of wheat, soy, the list goes on and on. The great thing about making your own teething biscuits is that you know precisely what is in them and what your baby is eating. This is a simple and delicious way for babies to practice with eating and get a little relief from the discomfort of teething.

Always make certain your baby is in an upright sitting position when they are consuming any type of solid food or teething biscuits.
