Great list. I wish you included a list of mystery shopper companies. I would love to do this but I have no clue what companies do it.
I was a Mystery Shopper for about two years–but then gas and tolls went up and the jobs were too far to drive for the money I was receiving. I have to admit you really can make quite a bit–just make sure that there are a lot of places that want to be mystery shopped near where you live. There are many reputable companies that will find you the jobs–NEVER pay to be a mystery shopper!!

I have done freelance writing, and blogging. I did Wikis for awhile through a gal I found on ODesk. I haven’t found anything with a strong enough pay to justify my staying at home though, so I’ve been submitting my vitae and crossing my fingers and toes that someone will call (for an interview). :)

Great ideas! It would be great if you could go in depth on how to get involved with some of these types of work. There are a lot of work at home scams out there, so it would be good to know what’s legit. I’m possibly quitting my fulltime job to pursue a Master’s in the autumn, and I’m particularly interested in WFH opportunities.

I originally had a few sites listed in this article. I decided to take them out because I did not want to endorse any one company since there are so many out there. What type of WAHM opportunity were you seeking?
Oh, these are great ideas, thank you! I keep telling my hubby I want to be a stay-at-home-mom…without the kids LOL
These are some really great stay at home opportunities to earn an income. For me, I earn money with my blogs and for my sister, she earns money sewing. I wish I had her talent but she loves what she does and I love what I do. I’d love to try some of your other suggestions to see if I can increase my income as a SAHM>

This was a really interesting and helpful article. As a SAHM, I know what it is like to feel like you aren’t financially contributing. You list some really great ideas. I would also include tapping into online garage sale sites to sell junk that you no longer need as your children grow up!
Great idea!
You really can make money at home. I work at home full time

What is your work-at-home job of choice, Katherine?
How cool! What a great list :) I’m not a SAHM but a College Student currently. I think these are great tips for also people who have extra free time on their hands. The mystery shopper is something I never really heard of before. Also the Online Call Rep, sounds pretty cool as well! Thanks for sharing your great list with us.
These really are great ways to make money as a SAHM. Right now my blog is my saviour and I’m so grateful for it. If I knew how to sew or make pretty things I’d totally open an Etsy store.
I am not a mom yet but I am already thinking of ways of making extra money from home and obviously my blogging is bringing a bit which is awesome. Some of these ideas I have never considered before, thanks for sharing.

I work at home as a blogger and it is a busy, busy job! I work more than full time on it! I just dipped into direct sales to see how it goes. It can be challenging knowing what is worthwhile.
Lots of variety on this list! For some reason, the duties of a medical transcriptionist have always caught my eye. I’ve always thought that it would be interesting to do, but never followed through with it. I tried mystery shopping, but since I don’t drive – I didn’t like depending on other people to get me where I needed to go. Ironically, most of the available ‘missions’ were to car dealerships…lol.
