Today is Halloween! We carved our pumpkins last night and the kids are ready to put on their costumes and get to trick or treating. But what I will be answering today is this: can you upcycle a Halloween pumpkin? Well guess what? You can!
Raw pumpkin is a nutritionally dense food. Just one cup of this squash yields 30 calories, 0.12 grams of fat, 1.16 grams of protein and 7.5 grams of carbohydrates! Vitamin A is the most prominent nutrient in boasting nearly 10,000 IU and nearly 500 IU of retinol. Skincare research shows that retinol has multiple skin benefits.
Now you can use these nutritional benefits to make skincare products from the fruit of the raw pumpkin. The fruit is the thick, light orange underside of the pumpkin skin. These recipes will help to you to exfoliate, correct dark spots, and even moisturize your skin. Try them out and leave me a comment below.
