Maple Honey Baked Ham

A delicious paleo-friendly twist on the traditional baked ham.

- 1 smoked fully cooked, 5 to 7 pound ham.
- 1/4 can 15 ounces pineapple slices in 100% pure juice (no sugar added)
- 1/8 cup Grade A pure maple syrup
- 2 tbs raw honey
Place ham on a rack in a baking pan, fat side up.
Loosely cover with aluminum foil.
Bake at 325 degrees for about 20 minutes a pound (140 degrees on meat thermometer).
While ham is cooking
Drain pineapple and reserve 1/4 cup of juice.
Combine the reserved juice, maple syrup, and honey in a saucepan.
Cook over low heat until completely dissolved, stirring occasionally.
After ham has baked
Remove foil from ham.
Brush ham with pineapple-honey mixture.
Arrange pineapple slices in a pattern over the top of the ham, securing with toothpicks.
Brush again with pineapple-honey mixture.
Bake an additional 30 minutes at 325°.
