Tasty Italian Meatballs

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground Italian sausage
  • 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan
  • 1 heaping tablespoon chopped basil
  • 1 heaping tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 finely chopped onion
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, mix all ingredients except olive oil by hand.
  • Roll meat between palms to form a ball that is firmly packed but not compressed.
  • Repeat, making each meatball about 2 inches in diameter.
  • In a large skillet heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Brown well on bottoms before turning.
  • Continue cooking until browned all over.
  • Place cooked meatballs on a plate as each batch is finished.
  • Let meatballs cool slightly and add to pasta sauce.
