I have been participating in the 8-Week Health and Weight Loss Challenge that I wrote about a few weeks back. I thought that it would be very easy since I have also been following a pretty strick Paleo lifestyle since the beginning of the New Year. Boy was I wrong. There are a few areas that I am really struggling with
1. Eating all of my fruit. I thought that I was getting a good amount of fruit prior to the challenge but when I really got down to tracking it, I was not eating nearly enough. I have since really pushed myself to eat more fibrous fruit like apples and oranges.2. Keeping away from processed foods. Doing Paleo has kept me away from most of my go-to diet/low carb foods but when it really came down to it, a few were still getting through. I have since eliminated everything that contains added nitrates (which can be tricky as there are also nitrates in our fruits and veggies).
3. Water! Oh my goodness, I had no idea how much 64 oz of water really was until I HAD to drink it on this challenge. I thought, with working out and eating healthier, I was getting about this amount. Not even close. I believe upping my water helped me to lose 3lbs the first week on this challenge.
