I have been using Apple Cider Vinegar for many years as a great alternative to many household items. It was only recently that I discovered that raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar (abbreviated as ACV) can be used in many other ways.
Used since 400 BC, there are many modern ways to incorporate Apple Cider Vinegar into your daily life from beauty care, household cleaning, and cooking. Below are 10 of the greatest and most uncommon uses for Apple Cider Vinegar that you may or may not have heard of. For best results use organic, unpasteurized Apple Cider Vinegar with “the Mother”.
Kitchen
1. Cleans kitchen worktops and cutting boards. Add undiluted Apple Cider Vinegar to a spray bottle. Spray onto surface followed by a 3% solution of Hydrogen Peroxide.
2. Fruit and vegetable wash. Add 1 tsp of ACV to a bowl of water with your fruit or vegetables and allow to soak for at least 5 min.
3. Healthy Salad dressing. Mix with coconut oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper for a quick, easy and health salad dressing.
Health
4. Aids in digestion. 1 tbsp ACV mixed with 4 oz. of purified water
5. Helps control weight. Adding 2 tbsp ACV to 8 oz. of water and drinking in the morning prior to eating or drinking.
Beauty
6. Skin toner for blemishes. 3 parts water to 1 part ACV.
7. Soothe sunburns and muscle pains. Add a few cups of ACV to your bath water.
8. Get rid of age or sun spots. Apply undiluted to age or sun spot with cotton ball.
Home
9. Streak-free window wash. Spray a 50/50 solution of Apple Cider Vinegar and water onto your windows.
10. Removes odors from clothing. Add ½ cup of ACV to the wash cycle.
