Happy New Year’s Eve! I love New Year’s Eve with all the festivities and music that helps to usher out the old year and in the new. But, if you are like me, you have procrastinated on getting everything ready for the big party. Or maybe you have planned everything and you just need a new drink idea to WOW your friends and family this New Year’s Eve.
Below are a few easy, creative, and festive New Year’s Eve drinks to whip up. Whether you are going to a New Year’s Eve party or staying in with friends or family, you can’t go wrong with these unique cocktails.
Cranberry Vodka Martini
Ingredients:
3 1/2 ounces cranberry infused vodka
1/2 ounce cranberry juice
1 orange slice (to garnish)
A bit of sugar (to rim the glass)
Directions:
Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Shake gently.
Strain into a chilled martini glass.
Garnish with an orange slice.
Blood and Sand
Ingredients:
3/4 ounce Scotch whisky
3/4 ounce cherry brandy
3/4 ounce sweet vermouth
3/4 ounce orange juice
Orange slice for garnish
Directions:
Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Shake well.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Garnish with an orange slice.
Amaretto Margarita
Ingredients:
4 fluid ounces amaretto liqueur, plus additional
1/4 cup white sugar
6 fluid ounces frozen limeade concentrate
6 fluid ounces tequila
1/2 cup orange juice
6 cups ice
Directions:
Dip the rims of 4 margarita glasses in amaretto, then into sugar; set aside.
Pour limeaid, tequila, amaretto, orange juice, and ice into a blender.
Puree until smooth.
Pour into margarita glasses.
Toy Soldiers
Ingredients:
2 (46 fluid ounce) cans fruit punch
1 pint sloe gin
1 pint vodka
8 cups ice
Directions:
In a large punch bowl, combine fruit punch, sloe gin and vodka.
Stir in the ice.
Belladonna
Ingredients:
1 ounce dark rum
1 ounce light rum
1 ounce orange juice
1 ounce cranberry juice
1 ounce pineapple juice
Directions:
Pour the ingredients and ice into a cocktail shaker.
Shake well.
Strain into a glass filled with fresh ice.
Black Velvet
Ingredients:
4 oz Champagne
4 oz chilled stout
Directions:
Pour the Champagne into a Champagne flute.
Slowly pour the stout on top.
Bishop Cocktail
Ingredients:
3 oz rum
1 oz red wine
1 tsp simple syrup
Juice of 1/2 a lime
Directions:
Pour the ingredients and ice into a cocktail shaker.
Shake well.
Strain into a chilled wine glass.
