training20

I cannot believe that I am in my final week of training before the Avon 39. This has been a long and interesting training season for me. I have learned a lot about myself, my endurance, and my resilience with fundraising as well as physically training for the event. Tomorrow and Sunday, I will be walking 39.3 miles in 2 days in San Francisco, CA.

I have been focusing on gentle walking sessions of about 2 miles each and some yoga to get my mind and body ready for the walk. I am so excited but I am also very scared. I want to succeed. Even though the organizers will say that we are all winners whether we walk one step or 39 miles. But, it is a personal goal for me to walk a full marathon.  I really want to complete it. I am not sure what to expect with this route since it is a NEW route for this year and it is entirely within San Francisco. But, I am excited to meet everyone and participate in the day’s events.

Well everyone, I want to thank you all again for all of your generosity and support during this journey. I am happy that the money that I raised from all of the wonderful donation will put food on the table of a breast cancer patient and her family. It will enable access to mammograms and medicine, fuel research, and save lives. You can still donate and join me in this fight. Use THIS LINK to donate.

Stay tuned for a post about the Avon 39 weekend!
