Yay! I’m so happy to present the a venture that was a long time in the making. I had been thinking and scrutinizing over this for some time now and finally made the leap today.

In December 2018, I finished my 200 hour yoga teacher certification through LifePower Yoga in Roseville, CA. At the time, I had no idea what I was going to use the certification for but I was optimistic that I would be able to share what I learned in yoga teacher training with the world.

In January last year, when my kids went back to their enrichment programs through the Inspire Charter Schools, I had the opportunity to apply for a yoga teaching position for children. The application was challenging and required me to create a “business” if in name only. At the time, I chose the first thing that came to my mind–Anuva.

Anuva means knowledge; a new beginning. Anuva yoga is taking the knowledge of yoga and meditation and pranayama that I have learned from my teachers and fellow classmates, and transforming it into a beautiful new beginning—for myself and my students.

Ironically, we found out we were moving shortly after I created this name. But, I kept it in hopes that I would use it again. And I have. I had the opportunity to teach at Beale AFB in California, SOMA Studio in Batavia, and a few private lessons throughout California and Illinois.

While I love the Anuva Yoga name and all that it’s become, it was time to streamline things just a bit. My new name more aligns more with my long running branded name (The Moxie Mama, previously Sexy Moxie Mama).

So please give a warm welcome to my new yoga services name: Moxie Yoga & Wellness. It is linked in the main menu at the top of the page but you can also visit the website HERE: moxie yoga & wellness! You can follow me on instagram too at @moxieyoga.wellness.
