Tact-SexyMoxieMamaEach week I post motivational quotes on various different virtues. In the past, I called this segment “Virtue Wednesday”. But I think the more appropriate title for this segment is “Wisdom Wednesday”. What do you think?

I feel that the older and busier we get, the less out virtues hold together or we forget about some. Last week’s virtue was resoluteness. This week’s virtue is tact. I struggle with tact on a daily basis. It is something that I really have to work on and I seem to always fall short on.

Tact is a discriminating quality to what we say. It means that we consider the effect on others and choosing words wisely before speaking. Tact allows us to respect honesty and compassion in complex conversations. It allows us to speak truthfully but not too threatening or hurtful.
