Wisdom-wednesday-integrity-quotes

Good morning and Happy Hump Day. Now that the summer has come to an “official” close with the start of the school year, I wanted to really get back into the Wisdom Wednesday segments. I had tried to keep up with them during the summer but life got in the way.

The last Wisdom Wednesday virtue was Faith. This week’s Wisdom Wednesday virtue, integrity, is one that I have always had instilled in me, and that was also drilled into me when I was in the United States Air Force. Integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is looking, all the time in all circumstances, even when it is unpopular. It takes a lot of guts to do the right thing, regardless of the consequences.

I have found that having a reputation of integrity takes years to build, but just a moment to lose. But, it has become acceptable for many to be dishonest as adults and therefore, children are no longer learning the importance of integrity. We live in a society where integrity is not always accomplished in personal and professional relationships. I try to instill this consistency of actions and values within my children through me own actions and values.
