Avon 39 trainingHello, beautiful people! Welcome to another week of my training journal. This week was quite interesting, to say the least. I am always amazed when my mileage increases during the week. This week I only increased by three miles, but boy did it feel like more. Not that I am complaining. The training is preparing me for the event in July. Every training day is preparing my mind, body, and soul for the long walk. I am so grateful that I get to participate in such an amazing event.

This week I finished the audiobook-The Handmaids Tale by Margaret Atwood and narrated by Claire Danes. WOW! What an amazing story. Claire Danes did an amazing job and really helped to bring the unabridged story to life. I started watching the Hulu version this week, and I don’t care for it as much as I did the audiobook.

I also started the audiobook-Into the Water by Paula Hawkins and narrated by a full cast. Like The Girl on the Train, this story is a very suspenseful story. The synopsis of the story does not do the actual story justice. I almost didn’t even start this story but wow, so glad that I did.

My long walks this week was 18 and 9 miles respectively. After last week’s 16 very long, very challenging miles, I thought this week was going to be very challenging. Surprisingly, even though I walked the same route (plus some), it was much easier than I had anticipated. Other Solo Strutters attribute this to me getting stronger. I must agree, every day I feel stronger.

I am also still working on building my fundraising total. I received the most amazing compliments from a graphic that I had created to wear during my walks. It was a very simple design, but it displays a great message and helps to start the Avon 39 conversation. I decided to make them into window clings and t-shirts for anyone who is walking in the AVON 39 The Walk to End Breast Cancer. What do you think?

I am so appreciative of everyone that has supported me in my Avon 39 fundraising goals as well as those that have donated to my window cling fundraiser. I think that I may even “gift” my funds raised with the window cling to another Solo Strutter who need a few more dollars to complete their fundraising commitment. If you have not donated to my Avon 39, please take a moment to donate here: http://info.avon39.org/goto/cbbhattacharya. Thanks so much.

Have a blessed week!
