When I eat this stew I am reminded of cold winters in St. Louis as a little kid when my mom would make this on the stove to simmer all day.

This is a hearty beef stew recipe that is reminiscent of my mother’s beef stew but for the crock pot. Place all the ingredients in the crock pot, give it a quick stir, and leave it to cook all day.
